Springs not only source of treatment....
it's also potable water

A springs is a point where groundwater flows out from the ground

This source most of it is rainfall that seeps into the ground uphill

Dependent upon the constancy of this source (rainfall or snowmelt that infiltrates the earth), this phenomenon may be intermittent or continuous.

This source in some places either hot or cold is potable and no need for any farther treatment to make safe to drink, unlike other placed do need treatment to make it potable, safe to drink or for bottling

This source are susceptible to contamination because the feeding is normally flows through the ground for only a short distance, limiting the amount of natural filtering.
