River is the historical water supply
The river is a natural stream of water , usually freshwater , flowing toward an ocean, a lake or another stream. others generated from natural mountains springs, and some generated from melting ice from mountains In some cases the-river flows into the ground or dries up completely before reaching another body of water. Usually larger streams are called(rivers) while smaller streams are called creeks, brooks, rivulets, rills, and many other terms, The-river as water resource They say the-river water is drinkable, apparently if you leave a glass of its water overnight to allow the settling of the silt the water is drinkable - However we do not advise that you try this! The-rivers are used all over the world as sources of irrigation water. The most typical quality defining as it's that it flows, it is not a reservoir which contains a fixed amount of water. At each moment a new amount of water is passing any given location along the-river and the flow fluctuates over time. The flows of some-rivers fluctuate greatly over relatively short periods of time. In the farm community dumping their human waste directly into the-river, also every city in the country now, is like that, but on a larger scale that are kind enough to remove the solids. They remove the paper products and the fecal material and they treat the water for bacteria, aerating it and putting it through a process to try to get it to digest some of the waste products, then it goes in to the-river. Pollution is occurring when the water shows an alteration of physical and chemical parameters such as odor, taste, colour, turbidity. The avoidance of the-river pollution is if anything more essential than street cleansing, especially where the poorer population must rely on the-river water for domestic and even drinking water use. The-river Pollution is a major environmental problem today, but we don't seem to be making as much progress as we should.
